In line with the recent upgrades to WikiProject Mammals a bulletin board has been created to keep all members up to date with the Project, consider it similar to the Wikipedia Signpost however focused on WikiProject Mammals. I would ask that you add this page to your watchlist in order to get the latest information about WikiProject Mammals. Kind Regards
— mw (talk) (contribs) is wishing you Happy Holidays! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user Happy Holidays, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Happy New Year!
Spread the cheer by adding {{subst:Happy holidays}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
We have an editor Foo123 which has created a draft about the Foo tribe. As a member of the tribe they have an apparent COI. Had they created a draft about the Nation of Foo, would they also have a COI? They also appear to have a better command of the Fooian Language than of English.
Hrm.... copy-pasted back into main article space. I've reverted all of their edits from today, other than their question above, and blocked them for a week for DE. I'm edging towards a CIR indef. I think there is too much of a language barrier. - UtherSRG(talk)12:12, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I hate it when people consider their use of an unfamiliar language is sufficient. They should edit their native language Wikipedia and have fun doing so.
Hello,
Thank you for being a mentor.
I would like to update the photo on my brother's page. I have no experience in editing pages. --SKMS333 (talk) 11:42, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My best advise is to step back and stop thinking "What do I want to say about the subject?" and change your thinking to "What would others want to know? What have others said?" - UtherSRG(talk)16:38, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They have taken what they perceive as a negotiation to my talk page. Ah well. On Commons I have reported them as suspected sock puppetry. All their uploads there so far have been deleted as copyvios. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrentFaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:39, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All socks blocked and globally locked. "Oh dear, what a pity; never mind!" I smelled and heard it as fishy and ducky and CU and detective work did the rest. Loads f cross wiki abuse. I imagine they will be back.
I think we can look forward to delighting in Kekepalmer2001's particular style of editing again. It's clear that this IP is them - rewriting zoological articles in a wordy, waffly manner, while mixing in made-up or overstated stuff. They are not currently blocked - block expired in mid-January - and thus this isn't block evasion, but if they carry on like they have at Strigoi and Cryptoprocta spelea, they may be due the next one soon. Just thought I'd flag it; I'll be keeping an eye out :/ Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 08:34, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
